This is the personal blog of Danielle Byrne, social economy researcher. Here I bring together different thoughts and ideas that have arisen in the course of my social economy research and here I can talk about these outside the constraints of academic publication. So, it’s a place where I can publish articles that are too slight to warrant academic interest. Or too unsubstantiated to pass any peer review. Or that would mainly interest practitioners. Or that are an expression of opinion or even of whim. In a spirit of whimsy I refer to these as “particles“.
This whimsy apart, I also supply information on my serious research interests and activity. You can read more about me here. You’ll see that for some years I have been affiliated to the Trinity Centre for Social Innovation in the Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin. I completed my PhD there and am now a visiting research fellow. You can read more about the Centre here.
I explain what I mean by “social economy” and why I prefer it in my particle here.
